About Us

Cakestone was born in 2020 in Mango Hill, Australia and is run by myself, Neel. I have been baking all my life but found a new love once I discovered the world of buttercream flowers and could not get enough of them. I set on a journey of experimenting (which included so many failures and sleepless nights) trying to improve my craft until I was happy to offer them to the public.

Not long after, Cakestone became popular enough for me to quit my day job as a Civil Engineer and run this as a full-time business of making floral cupcakes, cupcake bouquets and floral number cakes. After a while of me posting short videos of my work on my socials, I started to get daily requests to teach – so this became the clear next step for me. I hope you enjoy these online classes that I have put together and find them useful whether you are a hobby baker or you are a professional!
